Parkwood Youth Centre activities

Parkwood Youth Centre provides a wide range of activities for young people.

 

Monday

 

Youth session and outreach activities for 13 to 19-year-olds - open from 6.30-9pm - costs 50pence.

Activities include:

  • art and crafts;
  • sport ;
  • issue based programme;
  • ICT;
  • sports outreach programme located at Parkwood Green.

 

An after school club for eight to 12-year-olds and young people aged up to 16 years with mild or moderate special needs who have been referred by an agency, parent or carer - open from 3.30 -6pm - term time only -  costs £1.

Activities include:

  • creative arts;
  • games;
  • IT;
  • freeplay;
  • table tennis;
  • pool;
  • football;
  • basketball;
  • cookery;
  • volunteering and work experience opportunities.

 

Tuesday

 

Youth session and outreach activities for 16+ years - open from 6.30-9pm  -  cost 50pence.

Activities include:

  • cooking and healthy living;
  • cultural activities;
  • careers guidance;
  • football;
  • basketball;
  • creative arts;
  • IT;
  • table tennis;
  • personal, social and health education and information;
  • youth achievement awards.

 

Wednesday

 

An after school club for eight to 12-year-olds and young people aged up to 16 years with mild or moderate special needs who have been referred by an agency, parent or carer - open from 3.30-6pm - term time only - costs £1.

Activities include:

  • creative arts;
  • games;
  • IT;
  • freeplay;
  • table tennis;
  • pool;
  • football;
  • basketball;
  • cookery;
  • volunteering and work experience opportunities.

 

Wednesday's squad: special needs youth club for 15 to 24-year-olds - open from 6.30-9pm - costs £1.

Activities include: 

  • creative arts;
  • cookery;
  • life skills; football;
  • pool;
  • table tennis;
  • AQA accreditation;
  • Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme;
  • cultural activities and IT.

 

 

Friday

 

An after school club for eight to 12-year-olds - and young people aged up to 16 years with mild or moderate special needs who have been referred by an agency, parent or carer-  open from 3.30-6pm -  term time only - costs £1.

Activities include:

  • creative arts;
  • games;
  • IT;
  • freeplay;
  • table tennis;
  • pool;
  • football;
  • basketball;
  • cookery;
  • volunteering and work experience opportunities.
