Lordswood Youth Centre provides a wide selection of activities for 13-year-olds and older. They can have fun and develop new skills in a place they will feel welcomed. Experienced and professional youth workers from a range of backgrounds offer information, support and advice on a range of issues.

Activities

By going to the centre, young people can access a variety of information relevant to their personal interests and needs. The centre offers an assorted programme of activities such as arts and crafts, sports, X-Box and Wii sessions, and access to DVDs, music, games and the internet.

Equal opportunities

There are rules and policies that everyone needs to follow to ensure that all people coming to the centre can enjoy the experience equally and get the best from it.

Medway Council has an equal opportunities policy. This means that it aims to make its services available to everybody. You can help the council by respecting the needs and differences of all the other people who use the centres.

Unacceptable behaviour

Persistent unacceptable behaviour can do many things. It can upset, offend or spoil it for others. It can even put others in danger. Therefore, the centres have a policy to help control unacceptable behaviour and can suspend members from the centres.

For more details about the policies, please ask staff at one of the centres.
