Medway Watersports Trust
Enjoy an assortment of water and land-based activities
Medway Watersports
Trust operates all year round providing activities for young
people and adults. The varied programme of accredited courses
offers challenging opportunities and new experiences for
12-year-olds and older. The courses can help teach practical skills
and raise awareness of people and the environment. They can also
help develop team-working and problem-solving skills.
Water-based activities

The team operates from two centres in Medway: one at the
Strand Leisure Park in Gillingham and the other on a lake at
Cliffe. Both centres offer a wide range of accredited courses for
young people and adults. Water-based activities include:
-
dinghy sailing;
-
power boating;
-
canoeing;
-
kayaking;
-
river trips;
-
raft building.

Equal opportunities
Medway Council has an equal opportunities policy. This means
that it aims to make its services available to everybody. You can
help the council by respecting the needs and differences of all the
other people who use the centres.
Unacceptable behaviour
Persistent unacceptable behaviour can do many things. It can
upset, offend or spoil it for others. It can even put others in
danger. Therefore, the centres have a policy to help control
unacceptable behaviour and can suspend members from the
centres.
For more details about the policies, please ask staff at one of
the centres.
